Luminox launches the new Bear Grylls 3730 Mountain series with 3 new watches, and a special limited edition. Building on the partnership with renowned survivalist and brand ambassador Edward Michael “Bear” Grylls, the brand drew inspiration from one of his earliest expeditions – summiting Mount Everest in 1998.
Debuting with this collection are new integrated straps designed to appear “seamlessly connected” to the case, available in black or green. The three non-limited edition models feature a 43mm CARBONOX™ case with the Bear orange crown, and a center black dial with a choice of Orange, Green or Sand for the outer rings. The Bear Grylls’ motto ‘Never Give Up’ is inscribed on the inner ring and caseback to remind you of your adventurous spirit.
Dialing up the design, the numbers on the dial feature a special outline, creating a raised effect – a subtle, yet impactful detail that sets the design of this timepiece apart. Designed with explorers in mind, the bezel is marked with cardinal directions.
The Bear Grylls Mountain 3730 Series is designed to withstand a climb to the highest peaks or a dive to the depths of 200m below sea level.

The new Bear Grylls Survival Master #tide Chronograph Series uses #tide upcycled plastic from water bottles reclaimed from the ocean for its case, bezel and straps creating a new chronograph, which comes in three dial and strap colorway options: Yellow, Green and Blue.
Each of the three models will have a green case and bezel made from the sustainable material with the Bear Grylls logo prominently featured at the 4 o’clock position. The case back of the watch includes Luminox, Bear Grylls and #tide logos to commemorate the collaboration.

Almost 20 years ago, military pilots flying the F-117 Nighthawk stealth jets, which was the world’s first aircraft invisible to radar, approached Luminox to make watches specifically for them, utilizing the brand’s unique design and the self-powered illumination system. Luminox is taking it to the next level with the new MIL-SPEC (Military Specification) 3350 timepiece. Mil-Spec refers to the military standard from the U.S. Department of Defense. When a product is compliant with these standards of sourcing, fabrication, material, quality, and supply, it can be referred to as a Mil-Spec product or component.
The Luminox MIL-SPEC watch is built to the performance specification standard of MIL-PRF-46374G. This means that its water resistance, its robustness, and overall quality reflect the standards of the U.S. Department of Defense. Special steel materials are used for the steel parts to avoid oxidation from salt water.

The watch also uses an ETA with ‘HeavyDrive’ and ‘PreciDrive’.What is HeavyDrive and PreciDrive?
When a watch receives a shock from an impact, and experiences unbalance, both the material and movement could be affected, influencing its quality afterwards. With ‘HeavyDrive’ technology, the watch gets a counter-impulse once impacted, which prevents the hand from skipping accidentally, and makes the watch tolerate unbalances significantly better than normal.
‘PreciDrive’ optimizes the time precision of the watch to +/- 10 seconds/year deviation (dependent on wearing conditions). This is attributed to an additional thermo-compensation unit where the motor pulses according to changes in the ambient and water temperature.
